Rider 750

How to manually add a map to Rider 750?

Step1. Download the desired map zip file from the official Bryton Website. Please unzip it. Please do not rename the file(s) or change the file extension(s) in the unzipped folder, as this may cause errors to occur.

Step 2. Using the Bryton device’s original USB cable, plug the device into the PC and in the ”Bryton” disk, navigate to [Bryton>MAP].

Step 3. Copy the unzipped folder and paste in the [Bryton>MAP>Update] folder.
*If there is not enough free space on the device to add the map(s), please remove unnecessary map folders that are stored in the following locations: [Bryton>MAP>Update] & [Bryton>Map>MapData].
After adding the map file(s), please ensure that the device still retains at least 100MB of storage space in order to operate properly.

Step 4. After the map file(s) has been successfully added to the device, go to the [Bryton>MAP>Data] folder and delete all the contents and folders (these will repopulate after first system start-up).

Step 5. Unplug device and power on, allowing device to acquire satellite connection for a few minutes. The map should then successfully load and appear on the device.

What are the compatible devices for Rider 750?

E-bike:
1. LEV ANT+ enabled ebike
2. SHIMANO STEPS enabled ebike

Why my Rider 750 doesn't display map?

1. Manually add a map to Rider 750

2. Make sure the device is able to acquire satellites.
Bryton GPS Cycle computers rely on GPS data to track current location, speed and progress. By default, speed is calculated using GPS data, however a speed sensor can also be used to generally improve accuracy. If GPS data is not recording correctly or if the device is unable to acquire satellites, please ensure that the device is not obstructed by:
- Dense tree or cloud cover
- Buildings
- Bridges or tunnels
- Geographic Formations (hills or mountains)
- Other large objects or sky obstructions

Rider 420

What's the difference between the Rider 320 and 420?

Rider 420 has a bread-crumb trail follow track function while Rider 320 does not have it. While Rider 320 meets most cyclists' basic needs, Rider 420 gives you more by helping you not get lost on the trail and helping you implement your workout plan.

Does this show live Strava segments?

No, Bryton Rider 420 does not support Live Segments.

What sensors work with Rider 420?

Cadence Sensor: ANT+ and BLE compatible third-party cadence only sensor.
Speed Sensor: ANT+ and BLE compatible third-party speed only sensor.
Heart Rate Monitor: ANT+ and BLE compatible third-party heart rate only sensor.

Does the cadence better work as a power meter?

The cadence could not work as a power meter. However, most power meters on the market will have cadence feature. Please consult with power meter manufactures for the detail information.

Does a fitness watch work with Rider 420?

If your sport watch has heart rate broadcasting via ANT+ function, our computers can read it without a problem.
With regard to Bryton smart sensors, our smart sensors are all ANT+ and Bluetooth dual band. If your sport watch supports ANT+/BLE sensors, our sensors will work well with your watch.

Rider 320

Can this work with a stationary bike and Mpaceline?

As long as the stationary bike broadcasts speed/cadence via ANT+/BLE, power via ANT, rider 320 can receive and record those data perfectly. However, rider 320 does not support workout or smart trainer control.
In addition, Mpaceline is more like a workout planner, it receives those data via BLE by itself. There is no interaction between the app and rider 320 as far as our understand.

Will this bike computer work with existing speed and cadence sensors?

Bryton Rider 320 supports ANT+/BLE sensors. As long as the concerned speed and cadence sensors are either ANT+ or BLE they would work fine with Rider 320.

Rider 15 neo

Does Rider 15 neo display map?

The Rider 15 neo is a GPS cycling computer that makes use of multiple satellite-system connections to accurately determine speed and keep track of coordinates for getting a ride-overview after syncing with the Bryton Active app. This device, however, does not feature an on-device map, but rather a "meter page" which can be configured to display speed, cadence, heartrate, etc.

For an on-screen map, you can check out the Bryton Rider 750, which features pre-downloaded OSM maps and online navigation, a color touchscreen, indoor home smart trainer support and much more!

Will it work in a city with lots of tall buildings? How long it takes to pair the GPS with satellites?

Rider 15 support GPS which is capable to working in the outer environment, including in the city center, trail..., etc. Normally, it takes longer time (approximately) 5 mins to get the satellites signals ready when you 1st time using the device outdoor. it will pick up much faster (1-2 mins) afterwards.

Will Rider 15 neo connect with apple watch for hearth rate?

Bryton Rider 15 supports Bluetooth sensors. As far as we know that Apple watch does not provide heart rate data through Bluetooth. As a result that Rider 15 is unable to read heart rate data from Apple watch.

Will this work with Garmin cadence and speed sensors?

Bryton Rider 15 neo supports Bluetooth sensors. As long as the concerned sensors are BLE compatible they should work with Rider 15 neo.

Use the CR2032 battery size.
To replace the battery, gently twist the back cover of the sensor to the unlock position and remove the cap (being
careful not to bend any of the metal components inside of it). Remove and safely discard the spent battery.

Take the new battery and place the positive side of the battery to face the end cap with the negative end facing toward the sensor. Gently replace the end cap and turn toward the locked position. Once locked in place, move/use the sensor until a green blinking light appears.

Installing sensors (SPD/CAD/HRM)

Install Speed/Cadence Sensor

Once sensors are waken, the LED blinks twice. The LED continues to blink when you continue to pedal for pairing. After around 15 times blink, it stops blinking. If not used for 10 minutes, sensor would go into sleep mode to preserve power. Please complete the pairing during the time the sensor is awake.

Install Heart Rate Monitor

1. In cold weather, wear appropriate clothing to keep the heart rate belt warm.
2. The belt should be worn directly on your body.
3. Adjust the sensor position to the middle part of the body (wear it slightly below the chest). The Bryton logo shown on the sensor should be facing upward. Tighten the elastic belt firmly so that it will turn loose during the exercise.
4. If the sensor cannot be detected or the reading is abnormal, please warm up for about 5 minutes.
5.If the heart rate belt is not used for a period of time, remove the sensor from the heart rate belt.

My app shows “This activity is corrupted, please contact support@brytonsport.com”.

1. Please connect your device to the PC over USB and find the corrupted FIT file (.fit format).

2. Next, please upload the file manually to Bryton Active website. If it could be uploaded successfully that means you are good to bike. https://active.brytonsport.com/

3. However, if it still does not work, please send the FIT file to suppor_us@brytonsport.com
Thank you.
